Despite numerous attempts by day care clients and visitors at our first Coffee & Cake Morning, no-one was able to crack the WessexFM safe code this morning to win £100 in shiny new £10 notes.

We did, however, have many thrilled raffle prize winners! In addition to the raffle prizes donated by friends of Chancery House, several prizes were donated by local businesses in Bridport to whom we are extremely grateful for their support. These include Frampton’s Butchers, Waterstones and Bridport Foot Health Clinic. WessexFm also kindly provided us with prizes for the raffle.

It was a wonderful atmosphere at Chancery House this morning and we were delighted to see friends old and new attend. One particular favourite of everyone’s was our little friend Robbie – a very well behaved pupster!

We would also like to say a big ‘Thank You’ to several friends and supporters of Chancery House who very kindly baked cakes, scones and sausage rolls, and who also helped out making the coffees.

Thanks also for Vicki and James of WessexFM for taking charge of the safe cracking. They were certainly kept on their toes by several of our visitors! Vicki was also one of the prize winners in the raffle.

Our next Coffee & Cake Morning will be on Friday 3rd November from 10 a.m.to 12 noon, and then on the first Friday of each month. Again, there will be prizes to be won! Do put the date in your diary. We look forward to seeing you.
